While studying creative advertising at the University of Colorado, Karen became a bit of an industry addict. Living on canned green beans and old One Show annuals, it didn’t take her long to work her way from writing technical brochures to producing national broadcast spots. Today, Karen is an associate creative director at Grit., a Denver-based agency that specializes in consumer packaged goods, tourism and legal cannabis communications.
When she’s not behind a keyboard, Karen enjoys maintaining an awkward array of hobbies—none of which she’s particularly good at. Like improv comedy, amateur mixology and coordinating educational programs for young people trying to break into advertising.
